Inspiration + Getting In the Groove

Please excuse the random photos from my flickr that accompany this post.

A few posts ago I spoke about inspiration... and not being able to find it. In the time that has passed since that post, I have realized many things, but most applicable is the fact that inspiration is everywhere.

I started this blog two years ago and ever since that fateful day, this blog has been about figuring things out. It took me a year to actually write my first post. Ever since then, I have been posting irregularly about very different things: food I cooked, food I wanted to cook, food I wanted to eat, or, sometimes, not even about food at all. At times with very bad pictures, other times with fancy instagrams, and a few times with no pictures at all. The year was all about getting into the groove of this thing they call blogging.

A central part to finding my groove has been exploring what exactly I want to share with y'all, what is exciting to write about, and what's been going on. This exploration has been tedious and the tediousness of the quest is the reason that I feel so uninspired sometimes. The reality is this: my life is full of inspiration but it's crazy hard to figure out what is inspiring enough to sit down and write about. I haven't figured out how to regularly mold inspiration into a blog post, and I have the feeling it's still gonna take some work. But, I'm ready to do it.

So, here's to another year of figuring it out and getting into the groove of talking about all things food. Hopefully with better pictures this year...

Thanks for reading.

  1. Beautiful pictures! You are absolutely right, inspiration comes in all forms, we all hit slumps of feeling as though we don't know where to go, or what to do next but, you'll find your way and whatever you end up writing about I'm sure will be amazing. Good luck!
